State Contestants
State Contestants compete at a State Pageant within their state.  The contestants who win their state age-division titles are required to attend the National Pageant.  Tiny Division state winners (ages 0-3) are NOT required to attend the National Pageant, but may do so.  Mini, Little, Junior, pre-teen and teens age division queens (ages 4 and up) ARE required to attend the National Pageant.

Preliminary Appointed Queens
Preliminary titles may be appointed to contestants to represent a Preliminary Pageant age-division, if the Preliminary Pageant did not have someone compete in the age division in which the director is appointing the contestant.
Preliminary appointed queens may attend and compete at the state pageant.
State Appointed Queens

State titles are awarded to states without pageants, or if a state has a state pageant and has no one competing in an age division, a director may appoint a queen in that age-division, once the pageant is over.  All state appointed queens compete for the overall Kingdom of Crowns Pageant titles.
